The assembly is fluid efficient and robust reservoir module to use – in line with or attached to – one or more Dimatix jets assembly. The Remote Reservoir-Lung Assembly is compact fluid reservoir for Dimatix jetting assemblies using liquid ink. While providing all the functions standard Dimatix print head reservoir, Remote. The reservoir has the additional feature of being able to used in a position slightly far from the drainage assembly.
The reservoir holds the working volume of ink, metered by an integral ink level sensor. When the ink enters reservoir, first passes through the inlet filter to trap any particles that may have been introduced during umbilical connection. As the ink moves through reservoir, It passes through the pulmonary mechanism, Which removes dissolved gases from the jetting fluid. This degassing function is important for fast priming and to prevent the growth of bubbles in the ink at high speeds streaming frequency.
Remote Reservoir-Lung Assemblies are available at both anodized aluminum and stainless steel. That the aluminum version is equipped with the necessary EPDM O-ring for installation, and stainless steel version--designed for very aggressive inks incl perfluoroethylene O-rings. Optional heating cartridge and thermistor Temperature sensors are available for thermal control ink viscosity.
