Sapphire QS-256/30 AAA printhead features 256 independent channels

The Sapphire QS-256/30 AAA print head features 256 independent channels arranged in a single row of nozzles spaced at 100 dots per inch. It is designed to dispense 30 to 80 adjustable picoliter drops in binary jetting mode or a basic 30 picoliter drop in grayscale mode and does so at a nominal drop velocity of 8 meters per second when delivering fluids in the 10 to 14 centipoise range.


The Sapphire QS-256/30 AAA Performance Printhead provides best-in-class jetting accuracy. Its lightweight, thin-profile design and configuration plus support for a variety of ink formulations make this printhead model well suited for scanning printer architectures and applications.


The range of rugged, field-proven materials selected for the AAA Sapphire QS-256/30 printhead provides long service life and consistent results.


Using customized waveforms and durable inert silicone nozzle plates to provide the best droplet placement accuracy, A variety of ink formulations are accommodated including UV-curable, organic solvent, and water-based inks and associated maintenance fluids.


The same physical features and identical interface as other Q-Class products allow the Sapphire QS-256/30 AAA to be combined with the same or complementary printhead models to create a multitude of single and dual color configurations.


The operating temperature of the print head can reach 90°C. The driver chip has dual buffers to support the high-speed streaming capabilities of the Sapphire QS-256/30 AAA.
